Dr Anell Meyer

Dr Anell Meyer is an experienced paediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist. She trained as paediatrician  at the University of Pretoria. She was awarded the prestigious Nestle Nutrition Institute scholarship in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Clinical nutrition and trained at the world renowned Royal Children's hospital, Melbourne, Australia. She was also awarded the Discovery Subspecialist Award.

Dr Anell Meyer is primarily based at Mediclinic Midstream but does sessions at the Paediatric liver transplant unit, Wits Donald Gordon hospital, Parktown as well as Steve Biko Academic hospital. She is also a senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria.

She is a keen researcher and published locally as well as internationally. She presented her research on achalasia at the European Society of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition congress in 2014. She presented numerous abstracts and invited lectures at local and international conferences.
